Companies will have a manual with strict measures that affect all employees, including outsiders

Experts in congress and business tourism will meet in Cordoba on September 15 to analyze the future of a sector that attracts visitors with high purchasing power. With growth prospects of 8-9 percent per year, Cordoba wants to position itself as one of the main cities in Spain in this business model. The arrival of the pandemic changed everything and now it is a question of seeing how to deal with the situation.

The event will take place at the Visitors' Reception Centre in Cordoba, right next to the Mosque-Cathedral, and will be attended by analysts, experts and political and economic leaders from Cordoba. There will be discussions, for example, about the city's infrastructure to cater for business tourism, the application of new technologies and, especially, the strict safety and hygiene measures. The title of the meeting is descriptive enough: "Events come back to Cordoba".

During the conference, a comprehensive protocol manual will be presented, which has been drawn up by Francisco Gordejo, director of the Rurápolis consultancy firm. "We want to transfer to our clients that we can do in Cordoba events with very high security guarantees", has assured today the specialist in the presentation of the meeting.

This manual includes very detailed rules that affect all aspects in the organization of congresses and meetings. They include recommendations for all the workers involved, both the organizers and the participants, as well as external employees in subcontractors or auxiliary personnel.

The day on September 15 has three basic objectives: to prepare the safety measures and make them known; to communicate that "events are coming back to Córdoba and that they can be done in a safe way", in the words of Gordejo; and to recover the activity for the sector, which will be very important to preserve our companies".
