Sol Melia has had the confidence it has shown in three outstanding exponents of international culinary art confirmed by the two new Michelin stars obtained by the chefs Dani Garcia and the brothers Torres, captaining the restaurants Calima and Dos Cielos, respectively.

The well-known Malaga chef Dani Garcia and his restaurant Calima, housed in Marbella's Gran Melia Don Pepe, has obtained his second Michelin star. Since opening, the restaurant has stood out for its creative and innovative cuisine, as well as its excellent service and select wine list. After receiving its first star in 2007, this second star consolidates the restaurant's excellent track record and confirms Dani Garcia's important contribution to modern cuisine.

Likewise, the prestigious Michelin Guide has acknowledged the work of the brothers Javier and Sergio Torres at their restaurant Dos Cielo, the temple of fresh, cosmopolitan cuisine at the ME Barcelona Hotel. This is the definitive acknowledgement of the work of these two Catalonian chefs and their team, which in only two years since opening have complied in full with the guide's demanding criteria to form a part of the select list of the world's best restaurants.

In the words of Gabriel Escarrer, vice-chairman and CEO of Sol Melia, this double acknowledgement marks "the consolidation of the company's position as a chief exponent of haute cuisine as an inseparable part of luxury hospitality, appreciated both by the chain's clients and haute cuisine enthusiasts."
