In 2013, PMI Events will be participating in an important anniversary, that marking 300 years since the birth of Friar Junipero Serra, whose apostolate in America has gone down in history.

In 2013, PMI Events had decided to make a special effort to disseminate the life work of the apostle who was born in Petra en 1713 and who died in California in 1784, offering groups the chance to visit the Padre Serra Museum and Study Centre, located in the blessed friar’s birthplace, which receives some 3,000 visitors a year, including a large number of Americans. All of which goes to show the extent to which the museum has consolidated its position in the Mallorcan cultural circuits and its popularity as a religious and cultural attraction for those tourists whose sole motive for visiting the island is the figure of the friar.

Built in the regionalist Mallorcan style by the architect Gabriel Alomar, the museum contains a ample collection of paintings, religious prints, medals, sculptures, reliefs, engravings and photos, most of which are private donations.
