The Jerez Spa Hotel has been chosen as the venue for the Miss and Mr Cadiz contest, which will be held today, 17 December. The winners will then represent the province in the official gala to elect Miss and Mr Spain 2008.
5th AEDH Networking Seminar at the Jerez Spa Hotel
The Andalusian Chapter of the Spanish Hotel Director’s Association held the 5th edition of its Networking Seminar at the Jerez Spa Hotel, during which it presented its annual awards to companies or individuals that “have collaborated closely with the tourist industry”. In this edition, the province’s trade professionals received a special mention in recognition of their work. This year’s award winners include Lorenzo Sanchez, mayor of Rota, Rodrigo Valdecantos, an expert working for the Regional Government and the Jerez Hospitality School, the wholesalers Uniplayas, El Corte Ingles department store chain, and the MA Hotel chain.
The association awarded Jorge Garret, editor of the Diario de Cadiz, its Radio, Press and TV prize “for reporting on tourism, with endless articles showing his knowledge of the subject and his support for the industry, through Grupo Joly,” the group owning the newspaper.
Jerez Spa and Villa Jerez exhibit for the first time at BODASUR
Bodasur, a trade show specialising in weddings, held at the Cadiz’s Provincial Trade Show Centre (IFECA) from 1-4 November, attracted a large number of visitors. The couples that visited the stand of Andalusian Charming Hotels (HACE) were looking for original ideas, quality and experience in organising weddings, as well as complementary services, such as hairdressing and aesthetics, guest accommodation or the possibility of renting the vintage car Excalibur. It was also an excellent opportunity to discover the banquet services of the hotels Jerez Spa and Villa Jerez and taste the new aperitifs included in the wedding menus for 2008.
