Melia Hotels International Launches New Tool Geared to Travel Agents and Event Planners

Melia Hotels International has presented the new website of its loyalty programme for travel agents and event planners: mymasamigos.com, a tool designed to enhance the online experience of the members of the mas amigos programme.

The new website allows users to obtain information on the programme and its advantages, keep themselves up to date on specials and promotions, make bookings, and accumulate and redeem points for hotel stays, flights, car hire and exclusive gifts in the chain’s new catalogue.

The new website features a customizable navigation bar and the possibility of booking rooms using points and cash, allowing the members of the mas amigos programme to choose the numbers of points that they would like to redeem in more a flexible way.

To celebrate the launching of mymasamigos.com, the programme will be giving away one million mas amigos points among agencies making bookings at Melia Hotels International’s properties via melia.com or mymasamigos.com before 18 February 2012. In addition, all programme members will obtain a 30% discount when redeeming points for AVIS car hire services and a 50% discount when redeeming points for national and international flights operated by Air Europe. Both promotions are valid until 31 March 2012.

During 2011, the company initiated an overhaul of its programme for travel agents and event planners, improving advantages and benefits. In addition, it has incorporated AVIS and Air Europa in the programme as preferential partners.
