Three bids were presented in January: two for national medical congresses scheduled to be held in the period 2018-2020 (both major events with approximately 3000 delegates), and one for an international veterinary surgeons congress for 2020.
A national congress of the association AVERPA (Spanish Small Animal Vet Association) was also confirmed for May this year.
Moreover, the representatives of two international congresses, one technical for a congress to be held in 2017 and another scheduled for 2019 for which a bid has been submitted, travelled to Madrid for an inspection trip.
Two meetings were also held with national medical and humanitarian organizations to discuss future bids, and another was held with member OPCs of the MCB so as to win the bid for officially organizing a major medical conference in Madrid.
In January, the MCB provided the following services:
- Welcome reception for the 4th International Congress of Creative Cities, held at the Salon Real, Casa de la Panaderia.
- Logistic support for the International Meeting of Spanish-speaking Psychoanalysts.
