From 3-7 April 2008, representatives of the Czech Republic’s Travel Agents Association visited the province of Cadiz.
On arriving at the Jerez Hotel, they were treated to a pool-side cocktail party and buffet dinner, courtesy of Turismo Andaluz and the Cadiz Tourist Board. The following morning, they held a meeting in the hotel’s Alcazar function room. In addition, a full parallel programme was organised for the group with the aim of showcasing the area’s splendid tourist facilities and attractions.
The fam trip coincided with the announcement by the Czech Republic’s leading tour operators – Cedok, Monatur y Firotur, with a portfolio of 150,000 clients – of their plans to offer a regular weekly service between Prague and Jerez Airport in the summer of 2009.
1st Gourmet Programme at the Villa Jerez Hotel
The Villa Jerez Hotel held its 1st Gourmet Programme “Delicacies from Five Continents” from 3-5 April. The painstakingly prepared menu, accompanied by VOS and VORS wines of Jerez’s Tradicion Winery, was a great success.
Group of Basque travel agents visit Jerez
A group of 12 travel agents and event planners were in Jerez from 4-6 April to attend a meeting organised by the Jerez Convention Bureau. Several associated companies welcomed the agents and accommodated them during their stay in the city. On the 6th, the Jerez Hotel & Spa invited the group to a spa session, followed by afternoon tea and cakes from the hotel’s own bakery. The visitors, who were surprised by the city’s broad selection of attractions, were provided with a full dossier for organising congress and corporate events in Jerez.
