Eikonos increases presence at Mobile World Congress

After three intense days of networking in Barcelona, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) ended yesterday at 4pm. The event was attended by thousands of people with a common goal: to discover the latest trends in the mobile telephone industry.

During the week, we have been able to witness the process that all tradeshows go through: the assembly of stands; the opening; the events; the technological gadgets; the traffic in all the show’s pavilions, etc. Therefore, we can safely say that the show has offered exhibitors and visitors, alike, the chance to personally network with national and international companies with the aim of discovering the latest trends in the mobile telephone industry and creating synergies now or in the future between different countries.

This year, Eikonos’ participation at this benchmark event has been threefold: coordinating and assembling the stand of NEC Corporation; providing several stands with audiovisual equipment; and collaborating in off-site events.

NEC Corporation’s stand
For the second year running, NEC Corporation entrusted Eikonos with the organization of its stand at the MWC.

After months of contacts with the agency’s team, Eikonos built a traditional and branded stand in two weeks. The stand featured 100 monitors, 300 network connection points (for content, internet access and the stand’s access control), 60 laptops, fours projectors for a double-panoramic interactive projection mapping, and a closed-circuit camera system. Three technicians were also always on hand during the show.

Audiovisual equipment providers
The stands at Fira de Barcelona wanted to make an impact, and one way of achieving this was using audiovisual equipment to attract visitors. For this reason, Eikonos received many equipment rental requests for displays, LED displays, video walls, touch screens, multiple reproduction systems, including Watchout, and sound equipment.

Off-site events
In addition to NEC Corporation’s stand and providing A/V equipment at the show, Eikonos also satisfied the audiovisual needs of a number of off-site events related to the show, including two parties.

To this end, a team of 20 people was necessary, without whom it would have been impossible to deliver the results. The audiovisual equipment also played an important role, adding an original touch to the events and stands.
