Cirque du Soleil transforms Feria Valencia into an enchanted forest

Feria Valencia has been transformed into an enchanted forest, full of fantastic creatures, where everything is possible. In the depths of the forest, on the top of a volcan, the Cirque du Soleil’s most recent production i>Varekai will be performed by 50 artistes and musicians from 19 countries, from 14-17 January.

Hall 3.3 of the tradeshow centre is the venue that has been chosen by the Canadian multinational to stage the show. The hall’s dimensions and technical characteristics, with a height of 22m and a surface area of around 12,000sqm, has allowed the complex and demanding set to be assembled in record time – just four days.

Twenty trailers, weighing 250 tons, have been required only for assembling the seating area, accommodating 5,400 spectators. “The venue’s height and dimensions, as well as the width of its doors and the amenities we have found at Feria Valencia, from the accesses to the location of the storage area” are advantages much appreciated by the supply company.

Feria Valencia is unique since it is the city’s only indoor venue where such a large amount of seating can be installed. The Cirque du Soleil has, not without reason, chosen the tradeshow centre for its last three fixtures in Valencia. Varekai has already been performed in 72 cities, captivating over eight million spectators all over the world.
