Last November, Charming Andalusian Hotels (HACE) received a group of travel agents, tour operators and journalists from Belgium, who came to familiarise themselves with the province of Cadiz. The five-day programme was organised in collaboration with the Cadiz Tourist Board and the town councils of Jerez de la Frontera and Sanlucar de Barrameda.

What most impressed the group were the visits that they paid to the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, the Los Alburejos Estate, the Gonzalez Byass Winery, the Atalaya Museum and Donana National Park. After visiting the hotel group’s five establishments - the Jerez Spa and the Villa Jerez, both with five stars, and three four-star establishments: the Guadacorte Park in Los Barrios (Campo de Gibraltar), the Duque de Najera in Rota (Cadiz) and the Playa de la Luz, also in Rota - they thanked the De Clerck family profusely for their wonderful hospitality, while praising the Charming Andalusian Hotel group as an excellent chain in which the attention to detail, personalised service and exquisite cuisine ensure customer satisfaction.

Andalusian Tourism Awards 2007
Mr Jan de Clerck, president of the Charming Andalusian Hotel group, received a 2007 Andalusian Tourism Award in the Tourism Businessman category, in recognition of his accomplishments in the region’s tourist industry, at a ceremony held on 28 September.

For the last three years, the award is even more distinguished since the ceremony coincides with the International Tourism Day. This year, the awards ceremony was held at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art. Presided by Mr Moreno, head of the regional government’s department of tourism, commerce and sports, the event was attended by a great number of eminent people from the region’s tourist industry and business community.
