WTO Plans to Hold City Tourism Conference in Barcelona

Taleb Rifai, secretary-general of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), made the announcement at the International Congress on Asian Tourism.

During the opening ceremony of the 3rd edition of the International Congress on Asian Tourism, which was held parallel to the International Tourism Show in Catalonia (SITC), which took place at the Montjuïc complex of Fira de Barcelona from 19-21 April, Rifai announced that Barcelona would be hosting the world’s most important city tourism conference in 2014.

Addressing tourism in large cities, the conference is held every two years in different city around the world.
