Virtuvent Platform Rolls Out First Applications

The technology was used by speakers and attendees at the International Academy of Pathology (IAP) Congress hosted at the ICC in Cape Town, South Africa.

Last month marked the official launch of Virtuvent Platform’s first applications: File Distribution and Speaker Presentation Management. Virtuvent Platform’s entrance into the market is a milestone for the event technology industry. The product is a SaaS event technology solution that sits on the backbone of the platform’s proprietary HybridCloud technology.

Virtuvent HybridCloud enables large venues and emerging markets to take full advantage of platform applications by severing dependence on high-bandwidth on-site internet connections – a common issue for large-scale events.

Virtuvent worked in close collaboration with Conferences Et Al and Imfunzelelo, both prominent PCO’s based in Cape Town, throughout the product development process. The result is a product designed for the user, by users in industry. Speaker Presentation Management and File Distribution provide delegates and event organizers with what matters most: a seamless, reliable service that simplifies the logistic difficulties associated with file distribution at scale.

Virtuvent simplifies the complexities of managing dozens to hundreds of speakers and their presentations. The Speaker Presentation Management (SPM) application allows event organizers to both manage the development process of presentations pre-event, as well as ensure that presentations arrive at the right venue on time, every time. The SPM app provides robust functionality within the framework of a simple, intuitive interface, enabling users to focus on the important aspects of their event instead of spending time learning how to use a new platform.

Virtuvent’s File Distribution app takes all that great content submitted by speakers, and distributes it to event delegates via their computer, tablet or mobile devices. Event organizers can brand delegate-facing interfaces with event or sponsor logos and manage which delegates can access files from various event sessions, all from a central dashboard within Virtuvent Platform.
