Just 12 months away from opening, the sales team at The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) has already received confirmation for the staging of over 26 events, varying in size from 10-4,500 delegates, representing additional revenues of 65.8 million euros for the Irish economy.

When opened in September 2010, CCD – located in Spencer Dock on the banks of the River Liffey – will provide Ireland with its first world-class, purpose-built convention centre. The hard work put in by the sales team at CCD has already paid off with the confirmation of over 26 international events, including the International Bar Association Annual Conference, the Rotary International of Great Britain & Ireland Conference, the International Conference on Emergency Medicine, and the International Statistical Institute Conference, among others.

Acknowledged as the first carbon neutral international convention centre, CCD offers extremely flexible and multi-purpose meeting spaces, including 22 purpose-built meeting rooms, a 2,000-seat auditorium, 4,500m2 of exhibition space, and banqueting facilities for up to 3,000 guests. In addition to being designed to the very latest standards, all the venue’s halls and meeting rooms are Wi-Fi enabled and boast cutting-edge audio-visual equipment and lighting systems.
