Tourist Department to Promote Andalusia on Travel Sites

The Regional Government’s department of tourism, commerce and sports aims to increase the promotion of Andalusian tourism products on top travel sites, through strategic alliances to be established during 2008.

This promotional activity, programmed in the Andalusian Tourism Action Plan for 2008, will be carried out in three phases: the first in spring and Easter; the second during the summer months; and the third between October and December for the winter season.

If last year the regional tourism department made alliances with sites such as Lastminute in countries including the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy, in 2008 the aim is to establish them with travel sites like Edreams, Muchoviaje, Lastminute and Rumbo, among others.

Furthermore, the department’s e-marketing strategies envisage sponsored link campaigns, above all in Google and Yahoo!, as well as in social network search engines such as MSN.
