Members of the prestigious association SpainDMCs, comprising 21 Spanish DMCs, participated in "Team Building Cinema," an activity organized by Exploramas, in collaboration with the Malaga Convention Bureau.

Creativity, ingenuity, capacity for improvisation, teamwork, and a lot of fun is a pretty precise description of "Team Building Cinema," the activity that Exploramas organized in Central Malaga on 8 March for the DMCs comprising the association SpainDMCs.

The experience, included in the social programme of the association’s general assembly, allowed the participants to discover the capital of the Costa del Sol through a fun and memorable experience.

"Thanks to this group experience that we have organized in collaboration with the Malaga Convention Bureau, the participants have taken home a wonderful memory of their stay in Malaga," said Manuel Araujo, CEO of Exploramas.

In "Team Building Cinema", the delegates of the participating agencies, divided into groups of five and equipped with an iPad and a map, had to make their own short film in different areas of Central Malaga.

The storyline of each one of the groups was related to the different principles established in SpainDMCs’ code of ethics.

"We gave each group a theme and then they were asked to think up a story, act it out and shoot it to make their own video," explained Araujo, before going on to add that, during the activity, the participants got to know some of the city’s emblematic spots, as well as interacting with the locals and even asking them to lend a hand with some of the surprises that we had prepared for them."

Specifically, "the participants were helped by a number of historical characters such as Romans and Moors, who, as well as acting in their films, also related several important episodes in the city’s history."

After shooting, the participants edited footage on their iPads in one of the meeting rooms of MIMMA (Interactive Music Museum of Malaga), with "the help of our staff," said Araujo.

To end with, the short films were premiered. "The screening of the short films at the event’s closing ceremony highlighted the participants’ creativity and originality, against the backdrop of the destination."

This experience combines technology, teamwork and creativity in an experience perfectly suited to team-building or incentive programmes in any destination.

"We are specialists in creating these types of urban experiences," emphasized the CEO of Exploramas, a Malaga- and Barcelona-based agency with over 13 years of experience designing, organizing and staging activities and corporate events, including incentives, team-building and adventure activities, and CSR initiatives in Andalusia, Madrid and Barcelona.
