Madrid’s Costume Museum was chosen as the venue for the 7th edition of the FUNDETEC Awards.

More than 200 guests attended the 7th edition of the FUNDETEC Awards (Foundation for the IT and Technological Development of Enterprises and Society), which was held at Madrid’s Costume Museum on 9 February.

Sörensen was commissioned to handle the event’s management and technical production, in which the staging, lighting and audiovisual effects were key factors for transforming the museum into a venue suitable for hosting the awards ceremony, regarded as the "IT Oscars."

Entering the museum through its garden, spectacularly lit for the occasion, the guests walked down an orange carpet to the stairway, where several different coloured gobos were used to transform the museum’s façade into a dazzling show of light and colour.

In the Costume Museum’s versatile auditorium – an excellent choice for hosting the hour-long event, presented by Cristina Villanueva and concluded by Víctor Calvo Sotelo, Secretary of State for Telecommunications and the Information Society – the sober, elegant stage featured banner displays with the foundation’s brand image and the sponsors’ logos and a large screen on which the ceremony was broadcast live courtesy of CCTV.

The event was also streamed live via the official awards blog of FUNDETEC: www.premiosfundetec.com.
