SONO Installs Interactive Platform for Promoting New Volkswagen Golf

From the beginning of December 2012 until the end of January, the new Golf was on show at Terminal 1 of Barcelona Airport.

On the request of Volkswagen, SONO was commissioned to install the AV equipment, lighting, lasers, and control system of an interactive platform for showcasing the new Volkswagen Golf. DDB and Di.Com also participated in the project, handling content and decoration, respectively.

The platform was designed for showcasing the new Volkswagen golf – the 7th generation of the most popular car model in Europe – protected by laser beams copying the systems used by museums to safeguard their most valuable works of art. In the interactive part of the promotion, after accessing the game area, the players, who could see themselves on screen from two different angles, had to slip between the lasers generated by augmented reality. If they succeeded, the lasers enveloping the car were deactivated and they could then introduce their contact details via a touch screen and participate in a lucky draw to win the chance of driving the new Golf for three months.
