Under the slogan "The volunteers of Caritas, bringers of hope," Caritas organized an event for its Catalonian volunteers at Forum Barcelona and the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia on Saturday 20 October 2012.
Approximately 4,000 people attended the event held at Forum Barcelona and then at the Sagrada Familia. Cardinal Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga of Tegucigalpa (Honduras) delivered the event’s main keynote address.
In the afternoon, Cardinal Rodriguez Maradiaga celebrated the Eucharist, with Monsignor Jaume Pujol, Cardinal and Archbishop of Tarragona, Monsignor Sebastia Taltavull, Assistant Bishop of Barcelona, Monsignor Joan Enric Vives, Archbishop of Urgell, Monsignor Francesc Pardo, Bishop of Gerona, Monsignor Xavier Novell, Bishop of Solsona, and a large number of priests involved in Carita’s charity work.
For the Eucharist, celebrated in the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, SONO provided and installed AV, lighting, sound and video equipment, audio and video signals for the press, video streaming, and audio mixing for the choir. The Barcelona-based company also provided technical assistance throughout the event.
