Sixt Accepts 18 Year-Old Novice Drivers
The majority of car rental firms operating in Spain require drivers to be at least 21 and to have had their license for at least one year. Other firms charge drivers under 25 a supplement or an additional fee.

At Sixt Rent-a-Car, 18 year-old drivers that have just obtained their license can hire a vehicle. All that is needed is a valid driving license and a credit card (debit cards are not accepted). The firm’s top-of-the-range and high-performance vehicles are the only exception to the rule, since drivers have to be over 25 to rent them.

Estanislao de Mata, CEO of Sixt in Spain: "The majority of companies require drivers to be at least 21 and to have had their license for at least one year. At Sixt, we don’t impose conditions of this type, and we even have special rates for university students."
