SIMA Chooses Boston to Showcase Spain in the North American Business Incentive Market

After attending the Motivation Show, held in Chicago from 28-29 September, a delegation representing SIMA (Spain Incentives and Meetings Association), in collaboration with Turespaña, Turismo Andaluz and the Costa del Sol Convention Bureau, travelled to Boston to meet with an exclusive group of 22 North American corporate meeting planners and incentive houses, with the aim of showcasing Spain as a business incentive destination.

“The Taste of Spain”
The objetive of the meeting, entitled “The Taste of Spain”, was to encourage American event professionals to plan meetings and business incentives in Spain. The programme included a welcome dinner, a working breakfast, a presentation of the destination and leisure activities, ending with a gala dinner.

The event successfully combined business with pleasure, creating the right atmosphere for professional and social networking. On this occasion, the Convention Bureaux of Toledo, Bilbao and Barcelona formed a part of the delegation.

The members of the SIMA delegation expressed their satisfaction with the contacts that they had made, and are confident that it will have a positive impact on the country’s business incentive industry in the short- and medium-term.
