The fair’s new section, to be located in Hall 3, will showcase the latest trends in these two industries.

The 15th edition of the Image and Aesthetics Exhibition, the Salon Look Internacional, scheduled to be held from 28-30 September 2012 at Feria de Madrid, will also include an exhibition area dedicated to the fitness and health industries.

At the coming edition of the exhibition, leading companies will be showcasing the latest trends in the fitness and health industries, both closely linked to aesthetics and wellness, in the venue’s Hall 3. The creation of a specific area for these products and services will allow the exhibition to widen its scope, as well as providing beauty centres with the opportunity to complement their product and service portfolio and, at the same time, generate incremental business.

In this regard, over the last few years beauty centres have experienced significant developments. Nowadays, they no longer offer traditional services and products – make-up, nail care, body treatments, facials, etc. – but also now include a range of different activities – based on both exercise and nutrition programmes – geared to enabling their customers to keep in shape, thus providing them with a high degree of value-added.

Likewise, the 5th edition of the Beauty Care Congress, the most important event of its kind in the Spanish-speaking world, held in parallel to the Salon Look Internacional, will also reflect this trend in its conference programme. On Saturday, 29 September, the congress’ afternoon programme includes a specific session "Business Models Linked to Physical Activity Applied to the Beauty Care and Image Industries," addressing various aspects of this trend from a number of different perspectives, highlighting the importance of this new line of business for beauty care centres. The session’s opening keynote will be delivered by Manel Valcarce, managing director of Valgo Investment, and founding partner of International Institute for Sport and Applied Sciences (IIDCA Europa).

Salon Look Internacional to include new section devoted to fitness and health

With the creation of the new fitness section, the Salon Look Internacional’s exhibition will now cover seven areas. Hall 3 will feature Beauty Care, Spa & Wellness, Natural Cosmetics, Nail Care and Make-Up, and Fitness Sections, while the Hairdressing and Sales Sections will be located in Hall 4.

Salon Look Internacional will be open from 9.30 am to 7.00 pm.
