Ryanair to Offer New Flight Connexions between Andalusia and Europe

In 2008, Ryanair, the Irish low-cost airline, will begin to operate three new routes between Andalusia and Europe. On the one hand, there will be new flight connexions between Malaga and Liverpool and Marseille; and on the other a new route connecting Seville with Frankfurt.

The new route between the capital of the Costa del Sol and Liverpool will start to operate on 1 April 2008, with three flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. With regard to the new connexion between Pablo Ruiz Picasso Airport and Marseille, there will be two flights a week on Mondays and Thursdays from 2 May 2008.

Ryanair already offers six connections between Malaga and Europe – Dusseldorf, Bremen, Frankfurt, Brussels, Dublin and Shannon – and with the two new routes the airline hopes to carry 265,000 passengers a year.

Regarding the new route between Seville and Frankfurt Hahn, there will be four flights a week from 31 March 2008. The airline already offers flight connexions between the Andalusian capital and Dusseldorf, Milan, Rome, Dublin, Liverpool and London Stansted. According to company sources, it is expected that 40,000 passengers will use the new connexion, bringing Ryanair passenger movements in Seville to a total of 420,000 a year.
