Russia and Ukraine Take Centre Stage in March with MITT and UITT

The Russian Federation and the Ukraine will be holding their biggest annual tourist trade shows this coming March. MITT 2008 is scheduled to be held at the Moscow Expocentr from 19-22 March, after which Kiev’s International Exhibition Centre will be hosting UITT 2008 from 26-28 March.

Now running into its 15th edition, the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition is the largest travel industry event in Russia. Due to be held at the Moscow Expocentr from 19-22 March, it will feature a conference on new opportunities for tourism development in Russia – addressing topics such as the main trends in the Russian and global tourist industries, best practices, and improving competitiveness – to be held on 20 March.

Last year, the event’s 2,700 exhibitors, of which 1,500 were from abroad, occupied an exhibition space of 44,000m2, and 81,880 visitors were registered, including 50,130 trade professionals.

UITT 2008
The 14th edition of the Ukraine International Travel & Tourism Exhibition, the country’s largest and most important travel industry trade show, will be held at Kiev’s International Exhibition Centre from 26-28 March 2008.

In 2007, the event attracted 850 exhibitors from 58 countries (38% more international exhibitors than the year before), and approximately 25,000 visitors, including 9,000 trade professionals.

Turismo Andaluz will be showcasing Andalusia at both events.
