The MUNDUSvini Great International Wine Award is nowadays one of the most prestigious in the world. Held annually in Neustadt an der Weinstraße in Germany, the event lasts a fortnight, during which some 180 well-known international wine experts taste more than 4,000 wines from all over the world.

History
First held in 2001, MUNDUSvini registered 2,235 entries from all the major wine-growing regions in the world. By 2005, entries had increased to 4,495, which goes to show just how important the competition has progressively become in Germany. Nowadays, MUNDUSvini is the largest officially recognised wine competition in the world.
