Mon St Benet Designs Menu Inspired in Flowers to Hail in Spring

The season of joy, happiness, aromas and warmth is just around the corner. The winter is coming to an end and Mon St Benet, in Central Catalonia, wants to celebrate with a special menu in which all the dishes have a common denominator: flowers.

Pep Casa, Mon St Benet’s chef, has designed a menu with hibiscus and orange blossom, roses and lavender ice cream to hail in the spring, after a long, cold winter. And there is no better place to serve this menu than at the Mon Restaurant, a venue surrounded by nature where guests can savour a cuisine based on simple and healthy produce, while enjoying the marvellous views of the Monastery of Sant Benet.

This dinner menu, costing €35 per person, will be served on 19, 20, 26 and 27 March. It can also be combined with the Mon Hotel’s four special packages: Romantic, Stay in Bages, Sensations, and Cultural. For further information on these packages, please ring the hotel on +34 938 759 414.

The first day on which the Mon Restaurant will be offering the menu (19 March) coincides with the Diada de la Cuina Catalana, an event promoted under the brand name Cuina Catalana, a symbol of identity of Catalonian cuisine with which Mon St Benet fully identifies itself.

The flower menu ends on the last weekend of March, although Mon St Benet has just launched a number of special Easter one-, two- and three-night packages, geared to all those people wanting to discover Central Catalonian cuisine, culture and nature, and all under 45 minutes away from Barcelona.
