Market Development celebrates 15th anniversary as benchmark agency in protocol sector

The Sant Cugat del Vallès-based event staff, PR and protocol agency is currently celebrating its 15th anniversary this April.

Back in 2008, Mónika Blasco decided to go it on her own and set up what has become one of the benchmarks of the event and corporate image industry. Based in Sant Cugat del Vallès, the agency is currently organizing a campaign featuring lucky-dips and giveaways to celebrate such a special occasion, as well as having created a commemorative logo.

Remembering the agency’s beginnings and how the initial idea gradually took shape, thanks among others to the deceased Jaume Tubau, Blasco comments, ‘He introduced me to many companies and helped me with networking, along with Ramón Grau and his director Josep Maria Vallès. Working for Santcugatribuna, a space where we could contact other companies, was also essential, and our reputation for seriousness has done the rest.’

The firm’s director also puts the accent on the keys to the success of Market Development, which currently works with some of Spain’s most important firms. ‘Market Development has always been a family concern, which works with reliable external collaborators who help us to function as an important company. At the agency, we are committed to people with a specific profile who satisfy our needs at each moment, covering a very specific part of the firm and its requirements. Over the last 15 years, our objectives and goals have evolved and we have known how to adapt to these changes. Nowadays, all the business areas of our firm are covered by our own staff and this allows us to plan ahead.’

Staff training has also been one of the keys to the company’s success, since ‘the clients who have placed their trust in us, have done so because of the quality of our service, thanks to the strict selection and excellent training of our staff. Currently, we are continuing to consolidate and expand our client portfolio thanks to the firm’s internal reorganization, its versatility and flexibility, and also the improved economic climate in our sector,’ Blasco indicated.
