Malaga Trade Show and Congress Centre to Host First International Guitar Show

Showcasing Spanish, electric and bass guitars, among other instruments, the show will also feature a series of concerts performed by world-class musicians and experts from countries such as Germany, Japan, USA and France, to name but a few.

Malaga is scheduled to host the first edition of Guitar Fair, an international show that will take place from 11-14 September at FYCMA, the city’s trade show and convention facility. During four days the venue will host musicians and trade professionals, including makers and distributors representing a full range of styles.

Open to both trade professionals and the general public, the show’s main aims include promoting the industry and driving business, in addition to fostering collaboration and synergies between the participants. To this end, the show will include a commercial hub divided into two areas, one for acoustic instruments and another for electroacoustic ones.

There will also be a concert area for a series of performances by world-class musicians, with the accent on guitars and bass guitars. Likewise, a number of other activities have been programmed, including sessions revolving around the making and marketing of guitars and string instruments, as well as demonstrations involving new models of instruments, amplifiers, pedals, etc.

During the second week of September, FYCMA will become the nerve centre of the global guitar industry, with the exchange of knowledge and experiences addressing all of the industry’s sectors and the presence of experts and professionals from countries such as Germany, Bolivia, Korea, Spain, USA, France, England, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Portugal and Turkey, among others.

Other suppliers, including wood merchants, amplifier, pedal, case/cover, and cable manufacturers, schools and universities, publishing houses, record companies and recording studios, among others.

The Guitar Fair will be open from Thursday 11-Saturday 13, from 12am-9pm, and Sunday 14 from 12am-6pm. Visitors should note that parking is free at FYCMA.
