The 1st edition of Eco Fashion Malaga, a sustainable haute couture fashion show organized by the Malaga Car Museum, is scheduled to be held on 14 November.

The Malaga Car Museum will be hosting the first sustainable haute couture fashion show, at which practically everything – textiles, cosmetics, décor, stationary and hair products – will be sustainable.

Patricia Rueda, sales manager at the Malaga Car Museum, emphasized the fact that, since opening in September 2010, the museum has been firmly committed to initiatives that boost the local economy. Hence the idea of staging a sustainable haute couture fashion show, the first of its kind in the world, which the organizers hope will become a benchmark for the industry.

Raquel Alguacil, director of Tevisto Image Consultants, is the fashion co-ordinator of the show – which will be inaugurated by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada – and designers will include Montesco, Miguel Angel Ruiz, Rafael Urquízar, Angel Palazuelos, Javier Alcantara, Francisco Valencia and Gemma Mele, all from Malaga, and Pedro Reis from Portugal.

Attendance will be on an invitation only basis, with a maximum of 250 guests due to the event's characteristics.
