The group invited by Jerez Convention Bureau comprised 14 executives from a number of Madrid-based incentive houses and PCOs, including key players such as El Corte Inglés, Kuoni, Spain Events, Viajes Pandora, 3events, Across Spain, PSM Adventure, etc.

The group stayed at the Jerez Hotel and visited the properties Los Jándalos and AC Jerez, where they met with a number of the city’s entrepreneurs. A tour of the Atalaya Museums, Alburejos, Tabajete, Hammam Andalusi, Bodegas Gonzalez Byass and Salones Doña Lola, was also included in the programme. Likewise, the fam trip participants visited the Casino Bahia de Cadiz and spent the day at the Alburejos country estate, where they were treated to the show “A campo abierto”. Other activities included a tour of Jerez in the city’s theme train, and meals and refreshments were courtesy of La Carbona, Bar Juanito and Catering Gourmet Cobos.

All the executives taking part in the fam trip were surprised by Jerez’s broad and varied choice of activities and venues geared to the MICE industry.

The train trip to and from Jerez was courtesy of RENFE, and local transfers were handled by Autocares Selma.

With this action, JCB continues to carry out its plan of action, which in 2009 focuses on the organization of fam trips so that event and meeting planners can get to know the city and its potential as an event destination.
