Inspirational Station, a New Interactive Advertising Fair

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB Spain) – a leading interactive advertising organisation – has created Inspirational Station, the first event in Spain dedicated exclusively to this channel. The fair, to be held at Madrid’s IMAX from 14-15 November, will attract some of the industry’s top professionals from Spain and abroad.

The idea behind this initiative is to give a boost to interactive media and show the advertising world, advertisers and the public in general their true potential. The best national and international campaigns will compete for the Inspirational Awards to obtain industry’s acclaim.

Potential of interactive media
In Spain, ad spend on digital media was up 90% in 2006 on figures for the previous year, while in the UK digital media are second only to television as regards ad spending.

The event’s main objective is therefore to give a boost to the industry and involve all the actors, especially the advertisers and organisations representing the conventional ad industry, such as the Spanish Association of Advertising Agencies.

The event also aims to break with traditional concepts associated with events of this sort and achieve maximum media coverage. To this end, the venue will be decorated to look like a bus station – hence its name – and the presentations and workshops will be held both at IMAX and in custom coaches while touring Madrid.
