The European League Against Rheumatism and the Trade Fair Institution of Madrid will collaborate once again after the successful turnout for the 2013 edition held at the IFEMA complex.
EULAR, the European League Against Rheumatism, has again chosen Madrid and IFEMA to host its annual congress in 2017. Running into its 20th edition, it is the most important congress for bone and joint professionals in Europe, constituting a global benchmark in this medical field. Following the successful turnout for the 2013 edition of the congress held at IFEMA, whose 14,000+ delegates had a considerable impact on the city, Madrid’s top trade show and event facility and EULAR will once again collaborate to hold this event just four years later.
EULAR is regarded as the top platform for the exchange of scientific and clinical information. The main objectives of this event are to educate and inspire, and to promote the creation and development of communication channels between medical professionals and associations on a global level. Furthermore, the EULAR Annual Congress attracts medical educators, professionals, interns and pharmaceutical industry representatives, as well as people suffering from arthritis or rheumatism.
The congress’ programme will included interactive forums with meetings and sessions which will give patients the opportunity to interact with prestigious speakers in the field.
The decision of the European League Against Rheumatism to hold their Annual European Congress in Madrid once again in 2017 is testament to IFEMA’s excellent reputation in the MICE industry, its experience in infrastructure and service management, and its capacity to host major international congresses.
In addition to EULAR, other important international congresses have recently confirmed their choice of IFEMA as the venue for their future events. For instance, the Oncology Congress ESMO – one of the most prestigious global events focusing on breakthroughs in cancer treatment – organised by the European Society for Medical Oncology in collaboration with the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), will be held from 8-12 September 2017. Furthermore, the FDI International Dental Federation Congress will be held in Madrid for the first time from 29 August-1 September 2017.
