Arnaldo Nardone, director of marketing & conventions at the Radisson Hotel, Montevideo, who was elected ICCA President last October in Hyderabad, will form a part of the panel of speakers at the ICCA Iberian Chapter’s Annual Meeting, scheduled to be held in Estoril from 9-10 March 2011.

Before travelling to Estoril, Nardone has been invited by the Regional Government to visit the island of Madeira, from 5-8 March, where he will attend several meetings with the local authorities. For a small destination like Madeira, very "active" in the meetings and incentive segment of market, the presence of the President of ICCA is an important achievement.

The participation of Arnaldo Nardone in the Estoril Iberian Chapter Meeting is doubly interesting. On the one hand, he will be sharing with the attendees his expertise and know-how with respect to the Latin American market and the international market in general. On the other, it is important to point out that this is the first time that Nardone will be attending a chapter meeting after being elected president of ICCA, the most global of the industry associations, with more than 900 members worldwide.

One of the focal points of Nardone’s candidacy to become the first Latin American president of ICCA was to strengthen the regional chapters, understand their real needs and provide them with the correct tools to generate more business, while always respecting their customs and business culture.

The ICCA Iberian Chapter currently has 70 members representing the leading companies and institutions of Portugal and Spain.
