According to figures obtained by Aehcos, hotel occupancy in the province reached 67.84%, with 1,580,671 overnight stays.

The forecast for June is in the region of 70.45%; although overall figure usually increase due to last minute bookings.

An analysis of the data obtained by Aehcos gives the following breakdown by nationality of the clients staying in hotels on the Costa del Sol during May: United Kingdom (36.47%), Spain (24,49%), France (9.95%), Germany (5.65%), Holland (4%), Belgium (3.24%) and Scandinavia (2.50%).
