Hotel Occupancy on the Costa del Sol Reached 68.70% in October 2007

According to figures obtained by AEHCOS (Costa del Sol Hoteliers’ Association), hotel occupancy in the province of Malaga reached 68.70%, corresponding to 1,643,361 overnight stays, 27,853 more than in October 2006. An occupancy rate of 49.19% is forecast for November.

The breakdown of the clients staying in hotels on the Costa del Sol during October by country of origin is as follows: United Kingdom (35.15%), Spain (31.27%), Germany (6.86%), Scandinavia (3.67%), France (3.25%), Belgium (3.12%), and lastly Holland (3.05%).
