The Thalassotherapy Centre at the Gran Hotel Elba in Estepona has been voted the best in Spain by the magazine Thermaspa, as well as being admitted as a member of the Spanish Thalassotherapy Society.

This award is in recognition of the outstanding service provided by the centre’s medical team and treatment quality; although, instead of a special awards committee, the winners are chosen by the magazine’s readership from a list of candidates.

Furthermore, the centre has recently been admitted as a member of the Spanish Thalassotherapy Society, whose membership requirements are very strict.

About the centre
Managed by the Gran Hotel Elba Estepona, the thalassotherapy centre has 1,500m2 of facilities. The Spa Club is equipped with whirlpools, Jacuzzis, waterbeds, two saunas, one of which has a large capacity, three Turkish bathes decorated in the style of those of Istanbul, and a spacious shower area, as well as a Japanese garden, eco-bar and gym.

Offering thalassotherapy, massotherapy, massages, physiotherapy, beauty treatments and body wraps, the centre’s 12 fully equipped treatment rooms, including whirlpools and Vichy showers, are located on a different level.

All in all, the centre’s full service package and unbeatable facilities makes it one of the best thalassotherapy centres in Europe, on the same footing as the most exclusive of French centres, such as La Baule or Quiberon in Brittany.

About the hotel
This luxury five-star hotel, belonging to the Elba hotel chain’s Exquisite Collection, has been designed with sybarites in mind. Of the hotel’s four restaurants, Paris-Roma, serving Italian cuisine with a touch of French cooking, and Asia Fusion, a restaurant with a surprising and original minimalist décor serving creative cuisine combining flavours from Japan, China, Thailand and India, are worth a special mention.

As to business tourism, the hotel has six function rooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology suitable for congresses, conventions, conferences and business meetings, as well as terraces and gardens for holding outdoor events, such as product launches, parties and receptions. In addition, the hotel organises a broad range of leisure activities, including private cultural tours, sailing, other water sports and fishing, team building, golf lessons, archery, flamenco classes and wine and cheese tasting, among others.

In short, everything about the hotel is an exercise of style bringing out the hedonist in you.
