The Malaga Tradeshow and Congress Centre (FYCMA) has recently renewed its ISO 50001:2011 energy management systems certification, according to the regulations of the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR). The facility has thus certified the implementation of procedures to ensure the application of sustainable and environmentally-friendly criteria as regards energy uses.
In this regard, it is important to note that, in 2016, the centre managed to save 13% on its energy bill, partly thanks to improvements made to the facility’s insulation, the lighting in several of its venues and areas, and the redistribution of lighting in the pavilions. Furthermore, 180 bulbs and fluorescent projectors have been replaced with LEDs.
