The Burgos Convention Centre – Forum Evolucion – hosted the 13th State Congress of the Nursing Trade Union (SATSE).
With the presence of 600 delegates from all over Spain, the congress, which takes place every three years, has never been held in Castile and Leon. For the 13th edition, Forum Evolucion Burgos was chosen as the venue for its location in the city centre and the suitability of its facilities.
The congress was officially opened by the Minsiter of Health, Ana Mato, on 12 June. During three days, the human resources policy of the National Health System, the professional development of nursing staff, and the introduction of the union in the private sector were addressed, among other issues.
This was not the only trade union meeting held at Forum Evolution, since the National Meeting of Nursing Specialists and the 1st National Research Congress for Nursing Specialists took place on 10 and 11 June.
During the congress, the delegates had the opportunity to visit Burgos, a modern, welcoming city with a world-class heritage which, thanks to its famous cuisine, was named "Spanish Gastronomic Capital" in 2013. Burgos is consolidating its position as a prime destination for national and international congresses, due to its potential and new infrastructures, such as the Burgos Convention Centre – Forum Evolucion.
