A film hotel

On 14 January 2017, the Maestranza Theatre hosted a spectacular gala for the 22nd edition of the José María Forqué film awards, the first that they have been held in Seville.

This was an amazing experience for our hotel which was chosen as the official hotel of the awards, where the guests, nominees, professionals, and organization staff were accommodated. Given the significance of the event, Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento prepared everything down to the smallest detail in order to provide a unique, memorable experience for both guests and staff members. During the whole of Saturday, we basked in a tantalizing atmosphere full of glamour and excitement.

The first priority was the design of three areas reserved for special guests.

One of these areas, used for hairdressing and makeup sessions, was organized by El Corte Inglés and L’Oréal Professionnel, who were in charge of ensuring that our guest looked perfect. This beauty salon featuring a dozen fully equipped, customized dressing room mirrors was set up in one of our spacious Triana function rooms, with views of and access to the hotel gardens.
We also organized a VIP area in our lobby so as to provide the guests with a special meeting place for refreshments and having a chat while waiting for their transfers to the Maestranza Theatre.

Hairdressing and makeup sessions before the event

This area was close to the exclusive photocall area used by celebrities including Imanol Arias, Eduardo Noriega, José Coronado, Elena Furiase, Óscar Jaenada, Macarena Gómez, Ricardo Gómez, Verónica Forqué, Raúl Arévalo, Ruth Díaz, Emma Suárez, Inma Cuesta, Manuel Díaz “El Cordobés”, Virginia Troconis, and the director Alberto Rodríguez, among many others.

For the Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento this was a magic evening indeed. We are very grateful to those who chose us as the official hotel for the Premios Forqué awards, with a special mention going to the Spanish Society of Audiovisual Producers (EGEDA) that believed in us from the start.
