FC Barcelona Medical Services Named "FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence"

SONO was commissioned by FC Barcelona to handle the technical side of the ceremony, which took place in the multisport pavilion annexed to the medical center in the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on 16 May 2013. The club is the first in the world to receive this FIFA certificate.

FC Barcelona entrusted SONO with the technical production of the event: rental and installation of audio, video and simultaneous translation equipment, live broadcasting, stage management, and technical assistance during the ceremony.

The following equipment was used:

• 2 Barco 6 mm LED displays: one of them forming the FCB shield.
• 3 LCD 46" screens.
• Rack SDI with three cameras for live broadcasting.
• Meyer audio system with two line array towers.
• Wireless microphones and press patch.
• Pipe & drape fixtures totalling 130m.
• Translation system with two booths and 200 receivers.
