Expolingua Language and Culture Fairs

The 19th edition of Expolingua Berlin, Germany’s annual fair for languages and cultures, gets under way on 17 November. The three-day annual fair, held at the Russisches Haus der Wissenschaft und Kultur, attracts over 150 exhibitors, including cultural institutes, tourist boards, specialised travel agencies and language schools, from more than 20 countries.

Turespaña and the Cervantes Institute
With 37 exhibitors, Spain is particularly well-represented at this year’s edition of Expolingua Berlin. Beside Turespaña and the Cervantes Institute, AMEELE (Mediterranean Association of Spanish Language Schools), the Cadiz Tourist Board, the Malaga Chamber of Commerce, a large number of language schools and several universities will also be present.

Expolingua Prague
Organised, as with its German counterpart, by ICCE (International Conferences, Workshops and Exhibitions), with the support of EC’s Directorate General for Education and Culture, Expolingua Prague has just taken place this week. The 16th edition of this fair attracted over 7,000 visitors and over a hundred exhibitors, 12 of which were from Spain, including AEEA (Andalusian Association of Spanish Schools for Foreigners.

Spanish is one of the most popular languages
The number of Czech students participating abroad in European language programmes has tripled in the last four years, Spanish being one of the most popular languages.
