Events Privilege Organizes Presentation of Fuengirola Zoo’s New Brand Image

By means of a very singular invitation, the event's guests were invited to embark on a special journey, without having to pack their bags.

The aim of the Malaga-based event agency Events Privilege was to transmit many concepts, the most important of which being the conception that Rain Forest – the owner of Bioparc – has of zoos. Bioparc substituted the simulation of the habitat in which each animal lives for bars and cages, for which reason the night’s slogan was “Returning to origins”.

The event was held at the Botanical Gardens in Malaga, a setting on par with Fuengirola Zoo. Staff dressed as explorers welcomed guests and guided them up a path lit by torches and oil lamps.

To everyone’s surprise, the path led to a dark tunnel, marking the beginning of their trip. In the 16m long tunnel, the floor on which they walked changed from an image of bars and cages to that of a thick forest. At the other end, they came out into a cold venue, with bars projected on its walls, thus beginning the “Return to origins”.

The event’s compère, Domi del Postigo, introduced the authorities attending the event, before presenting a number of videos showing the zoo’s evolution over the years.

The crowning moment, when the new logo was presented, was accompanied by a spectacular show of music and light, with dancers and jugglers. A contemporary dance group, wearing costumes especially designed for the occasion with animal and jungle motifs, represented the union between the vegetable and animal worlds. After this original show, the giant cages fell open to the surprise of the guests, marking a change in the life of the animals and thus “giving birth” to the zoo. The whole venue then underwent a complete transformation: the cages disappeared, lights began to play on the abundant vegetation decorating the venue, 40sqm of hand-painted jungle murals appeared, and the zoo’s new corporate brand name – Bioparc – was presented.

In short, both the personnel of Bioparc Fuengirola and the guests had a thoroughly memorable evening.
