El Coto Las Canteras Presents its Musical Programme for March 2008

El Coto Las Canteras, a natural auditorium located in Osuna (Seville), has just presented its musical programme for March, which includes Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Henry Purcell’s opera Dido y Eneas, and a show in tribute of Andalusian rock.

El Coto Las Canteras’ musical programme for March 2008 will get underway on Friday, 7 March, with the concert Sevilla reza cantando, given by Pascual Gonzalez and Cantores de Hispalis, along with the band and choir of the Real Hermandad de Caridad. The show, with over 60 musicians and singers, will begin at 9.30pm.

On the following day (Saturday, 8 March), some 178 musicians and singers belonging to the Hispalense Symphonic Orchestra and the choirs of the Universities of Seville, Leipzig and Cadiz will perform Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. The concert will begin at 8pm.

On Friday, 14 March, at 10.30pm, there will be show in tribute of Andalusian rock, with the participation of the bands Triana and Alameda, and the screening of the documentary Dame Veneno, featuring Kiko Veneno, Pata Negra and Camaron de la Isla.

The last concert on the March agenda will be Henry Purcell’s opera Dido y Eneas, performed by 25 musicians and singers from the University of Seville. The opera is scheduled for Sunday, 30 March, at 12am.

On April 4, Manuel Cuevas, together with 10 musicians and dancers will be presenting his new CD Corazón Herío, which will take place at 11pm.
