eCooltra Starts to Operate in Madrid

Cooltra’s electric scooter division brings sustainable mobility to the Spanish capital.

On 14 June, eCooltra officially opened its new office in Madrid. The ceremony was attended by a number of personalities, including Elisa Barahona, director general of sustainability of Madrid City Council’s Environment and Mobility Department, and Juan Luis Pla, head of the Transport Department of the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDEA).

The chief aim of the new office in Madrid is to promote the use of electric vehicles in the Spanish capital, with over 100 eScooter Govecs Go! 3.4. Cooltra Madrid also provides full short-term, long-term scooter rental and tour services.

Cooltra’s eRenting service is a sustainable mobility solution with many advantages: zero sound and particulate pollutant emissions, and important savings on fuel costs, among others. The rental of one of Govecs eScooter’s latest and fully equipped models costs €149 per month. Cooltra’s eRenting service includes eScooter rental, maintenance, basic insurance, road assistance, road tax, and even a crash helmet and top case.

The electric mobility concept is a now a reality that is gaining ground in Europe and now also in Madrid. There are currently 30 charging stations, in addition to the public stations of Madrid City Council where users can charge their vehicles free of charge.
