Value Retail, the only company specializing in the creation and management of luxury outlet villages, has recently appointed Diana Marin Acosta to the post of tourism director in Spain. In her new post, Marin will develop Value Retail’s strategy for promoting shopping tourism and increasing the number of international visitors to Madrid’s Las Rozas Village and Barcelona’s La Roca Village.
Marin has a 15-year track record in the tourism industry, especially in the hospitality industry. Previously, she was sales manager at Melia Hotels International, where she was directly responsible for the sales strategy of chain’s luxury hotels in Europe, and has also worked for chains including The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company LLC, Gallery Hotels and NH Hoteles, among others.
With a BA in Tourism Company Management, specializing in Hotel Management from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, as well as having studied at IESE Business School, Marin also has a deep knowledge of sales, communication, e-commerce and social media marketing.
