The Mobile World Congress, organised by the GSM Association, will be held for the third consecutive year in Barcelona from 11-14 February 2008. As in previous editions, De Boer will be supplying 10,000m2 of temporary structures for the event.

The Mobile World Congress has become the most important global mobile telephone event. This year, key participants will include some of the top players in the industry, such as Arun Sarin of Vodafone and Wang Jianzhou of China Mobile.

At last year’s edition of the congress, there were more than 50,000 visitors and approximately 1,300 exhibitors, which when compared with the 952 exhibitors in 2006 goes to show the explosive growth of the mobile telephone industry.

At this year’s edition, De Boer will be providing 10,000sqm of temporary structures, which began to be assembled last week. The structures feature a 50x20m two-storey Emperor, housing a restaurant and terrace, where participants will be able to disconnect. In addition, there will be a number of Alu Halls, Chalets and Dempras, which will be used for registration and exhibition purposes.
