Three years on, Valencia will again be hosting the America’s Cup. After many changes in the competition’s rules, in the 33rd edition of the event the contenders will use maxi catamarans with the aim of making it the most spectacular regatta in the world.
The winner of the 32nd edition held in 2007 before 40,000 spectators, Team Alinghi will be defending the cup amidst unprecedented media attention and public interest.
The first European team to win the America’s Cup, Team Alinghi has commissioned the best in service providers with the aim of pulling off a successful defence. De Boer, the leading European suppliers of temporary structures and a regular collaborator, is currently assembling storage facilities for the team’s powerful machinery and the skeleton of its boat. Three state-of-the-art pavilions are De Boer’s contribution to this historic event, whose 33rd edition will be held this coming February.
