The current role of technology in the live events industry

Technology is an ever changing always present element in live events. The live events industry has always used technology to better communicate to attendees in live event scenarios.

In recent years visual and interactive technology have evolved tremendously, with the wide availability of led screens in ever shrinking pixels pitch for the wide spread 3.9mm widely used in live events, we have know implemented 2.8mm for live event and even 1.8mm for fixed installation and TV studios.

File size and resolution have increased also due to the evolution of displays and distributing 4k and 8K resolutions over a distance is one of the next challenges ahead of the industry.
With projection mapping and Videos Servers we are adding projectors to create virtual screens with pixel counts so big we could not have even imagined them 10 years ago, and the distribution, creation and reproduction of these immense digital canvases are the challenges of today, this is not the future this is what is happening now.

Amazing new products like the Christie Boxer with its 30K lumens output at 4k resolution are amazing solutions to get great luminosity and pixel count in a compact lightweight product.
Our Wings AV Media servers and Vioso calibration are great tools to manage these files and we also use more lightweight solutions like Millumin to run projects of a smaller size up to six projectors.
