Costa del Sol promotes MICE offerings in Barcelona

During the first seven months of the year, the province’s hotels hosted over 55,000 Catalans, totalling 170,000 room nights.

Last week, representatives of the Málaga - Costa del Sol Convention Bureau visited Catalonia to promote the MICE offerings of a destination with 175,000 hotel beds, the fourth largest airport in Spain, high-speed train connections, a large variety of leisure and entertainment options, and an exceptional climate.

This promotional action, involving face-to-face meetings with DMCs and event planning firms and the participation of the province’s MICE-related companies, is very popular with members of the Tourism Forum, since it usually generates an immediate ROI.
