At the end of September 2007, the Charco Rianez quad biking and motocross track was opened in the Cordovan locality of El Carpio, along with a runway for RC models. With this initiative, funded by the Regional Government’s local office, the locality aims to host top events, as well as attracting quad biking and RC model enthusiasts.
The new quad biking and motocross track, which is 1,200 metres long, is located on a municipally owned plot next to the La Redonda road, one and half miles from the centre of town. As regards the runway for RC models, its length and width (200x20m) makes it suitable for all types of remote control models.
According to sources at the town hall, with the opening of the new track and runway the idea is to host top events, as well as attracting quad biking, motocross and RC model enthusiasts.
