The Marbella Design Academy, which will be opening a centre in Monda this coming September, has recently celebrated the end of its academic year at the Castle of Monda Hotel with a competition and an exhibition showcasing students’ work. Simultaneously, a gala dinner was staged at the Al-Bacar Restaurant for a group of orthodontists attending the SEDO Congress in Malaga.
The composer and pianist Felipe Campuzano performed during the dinner, together with The Three Tenors from the Andaluz Lyric Theatre and a group of belly dancers, who invited some of the guests to join in the fun.
Likewise, the Marbella Design Academy held an exhibition showcasing students’ work – the Castle of Monda’s awarding a prize for the best design – in addition to a fashion show featuring the designs of one of the academy’s female students.
Used to their maximum capacity, the Castle of Monda hotel and restaurant management team has shown that it is more than capable of staging two very different events on the same night. Both events continued until late into the night, and the clients were delighted with the excellent organisation and service.
